What is currently known today about the Human potential and the possibilities for our evolution as a species?
I’ll share the current position from the best of the world’s science and then look at what the Bible says about how the human body will develop; i.e. give the scientific view vs spiritual perspective.

What is currently known about the Human body
“The Human Genome Project finally determined the entire sequence of our DNA in 2001, researchers found that the 3 billion base pairs that comprised our mere 21,000 genes made up a paltry 2% of the entire genome. The rest, geneticists acknowledged with unconcealed embarrassment, was an apparent biological wasteland.
Scientists had described the 98% of human genome that lies between our 21,000 genes, as Junk.Barren. Non-functioning.Dark matter, ever since our DNA was first sequenced about a decade ago.
But it turns out they were wrong. Vast stretches of seeming “junk” DNA are actually the seat of crucial gene-controlling activity. The new data come from theEncyclopaedia of DNA Elementsproject, or ENCODE, a $123 million endeavour begun by theNational Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)in 2003, which includes 442 scientists in 32 labs around the world.
ENCODE has revealed that some 80% of the human genome is biochemically active. “What is remarkable is how much of the genome is doing at least something. It has changed my perception of the genome,”

Scientific research has now proven our DNA holds the genetic codes for our physical and emotional evolution through frequency held in the languages we speak.
There is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes.
This finally and scientifically explains why affirmations, autogenous training, hypnosis and the like can have such strong effects on humans and their bodies. It is entirely normal and natural for our DNA to react to language.”

What are the possibilities for Human Evolution?
I will site scriptures related to Jesus and how his resurrected human body operated.
But Christ really has been raised from the dead. He is the first of all those who will rise. Death came because of what a man did. Rising from the dead also comes because of what a man did. Because of Adam, all people die. So because of Christ, all will be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead--whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. Acts 5:30
What do we know about Jesus’s resurrected body?
He can EAT
And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence. Luke 24:42-43
It’s a PHYSICAL body
Look at [the marks in] My hands and My feet, [and see] that it is I Myself. Touch Me and see; a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.” Luke 24:39
27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing." John 20:27
It’s an immortal body
42 So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.
53 For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled:
55 ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’
‘Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?’

He has Supernatural power to disappear into thin air
And it happened that as He reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. 31 Then their eyes were [suddenly] opened [by God] and they [clearly] recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and opening the Scriptures to us? Luke 24:30
He can enter a room supernaturally
26 A week later his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’ John 20:26
Others do not immediately recognize him
15 While they were talking and discussing, Jesus Himself approached and began traveling with them. 16 But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. Luke 24:15-16
He can perform Miracles
Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus said to them, ‘Children, you have no fish, have you?’ They answered him, ‘No.’ 6 He said to them, ‘Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in because there were so many fish. 7 That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’ John 21: 4-7
He appeared to over 500 people
After that He appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, the majority of whom are still alive, but some have fallen asleep [in death]. 7 Then He was seen by James, then by all the apostles, 8 and last of all, as to one [b]untimely (prematurely, traumatically) born, He appeared to me also. 1 Corinthians 15:6
He is able to Physically ascend into the Heavens
50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Luke 24:50
When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 While he was going and they were gazing up towards heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. 11 They said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up towards heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.’ Acts 1: 9-10
If Jesus is the First Fruits others will also adopt the same body.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17
God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through sanctifying work of the Spirit, & through belief in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Corinthians 15:23
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified Romans 8:29-30
The above Scriptures indicate that human beings will adopt the image of his Son so that we can be “first-born”; this is through the “sanctifying work” of the Spirit. In other words a Spiritual awakening occurs as a catalyst to this upgrade of the physical body.
22 Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual love, love one another deeply from the heart. 23 You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1: 22-23
Who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:21
I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus, 5 for in every way you have been enriched in him, in speech and knowledge of every kind— 6 just as the testimony of Christ has been strengthened among you— 7 so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:7
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:23
The new living translation actually says “including the new bodies he has promised us.” So being “in Christ” is a complete renewal of mind, body & spirit: in effect a total transformation & upgrade
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12
Humanity’s Evolution
So the Scriptures confirm our bodies will change in a similar manner as the resurrected Jesus. How incredible is this! Absolute and total transformation, in effect the Ultimate Upgrade; we will be eating & drinking, performing miracles, appearing and disappearing at will!
We are on a Spiritual Journey the Ultimate destination is Divine Union.
The Ultimate Upgrade
And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever. Genesis 3:22
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
