Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...

Clean Your Windshield

This morning I made sure I was early. Last night I prepared my outfit down to my shoes, packed my gym bag, prep my breakfast and set my alarm. By 6:30a.m. I was seated in my car and with my cup of coffee I was ready to join the long traffic so I could get to work on time.

The minute I pulled out from the drive way I realized that the windschield was covered with dried droplets of water and dust so I proceeded to cleanse it only to realize that the solution Bottle was empty. I just didn’t want to delay any longer so I headed out and joined the traffic.

My journey wasn’t the same. The sunlight cast reflections on the windscreen instead of the beautiful sunrays I was accustomed to seeing. The trees outside that bloomed pink orchids looked old and dirty. The grass on the side of the road looked brown unlike the greenery I was accustomed to. I was feeling happy and ready for work but somehow what I was looking at wasn’t reflecting the same and so I turned to some soca to build up the vibes.

When I got to a major intersection a windsheild wiper came over and began to cleanse it without my permission. I never noticed him until he was almost finished with one side as I was reaching to the rear seat for a earphone. Then I realized something we already knew but rarely pay attention to. Our outlook on life is depended on what we foster and hold on the inside. After the young man finished cleaning the windscreen it felt like I was able to see for the first time. Crystal clear view. Now the trees and the grass were green. There was nothing wrong with them but everything wrong with me and my clouded vision.

Today clean up your vision so you will be able to see clearly where you are headed. Clean up your vision so you can have a happier, healthier life. Clean up your vision with positive thoughts and speak only good things about others. Clean up your vision that you may see the good not only in others but in yourself.
